Birthday Book Club

Wednesday, 24 August 2011

Saint Vincent DePaul Elementary School Library is starting a "Birthday Book Club"!  This program is a way to make your child's birthday special by celebrating at school with their classmates and friends and help the library program, as well.

The “Birthday Book Club” allows your child to donate a book to the school library collection in honor of his/her birthday.  A book plate with your child's name and birth date would be placed inside the front cover of the book. The book may be wrapped in gift paper and presented and opened at Prayer and Pledge Assembly by your child. In addition, your child would have the honor of being first to check out the book.

Because books go through heavy circulation, hard Cover books are preferred as they hold up better. With the average price of a new children's library-bound book around $22.00, your donation is greatly appreciated. It helps our library collection at SVS grow!

A list of suggested books for the library is maintained online, but you may purchase other books.

Sincerely,

Susan Hughes
